SAY HELLO

Vox is one-third of the Vees - three powerful and influential entertainment-based Overlords in Pentagram City - and the head of VoxTek, Hell's technology and telecommunications monopoly. How he got to this point is still unclear, but it probably has something to do with his (literally) enthralling advertising and ability to schmooze his way into alliances with powerful and terrible people (unless they reject him despite knowing each other for years, ALASTOR).

PERSONALITY

Vox has an extremely polished outer façade of charming, witty control, and it is barely half an inch thick. While he IS clever and has a gift for spinning situations to his benefit, beneath it he's deeply insecure, sarcastic, grouchy, bored and exhausted by everything, and doesn't really give much of a shit about what he's shilling as long as he gets to keep his chokehold on the city's media and product consumption. He's good at manipulating those around him into behaving or doing as he says in order to uphold a polished image, but the second something upsets HIM, you're looking at a public meltdown and city-wide power outage (again, ALASTOR). He glitches and sparks with electricity when his feelings get the better of him. The only things he actually seems passionate about are Alastor, getting back at Alastor, watching Alastor get his ass kicked, and winning in general. He's self-absorbed, prone to fits of mania and rage, and will fall for the dumbest traps in the world if he lets his emotions get involved in his decision-making (which he hasn't done in a long time, until, well, Alastor).

ABILITIES

⚡️ Vox can generate and turn into/travel through electricity, as well as appear on and look through any screen he wishes (while plugged into his broadcast systems). He also has cameras EVERYWHERE linked to him and his control room. Mostly he uses the latter to be a weird voyeur for horny and/or mocking reasons
⚡️ Vox's left eye seems to be able to hypnotize people both in person and on TV, which sure is a handy way to convince people to use your shitty products! It also just goes off sometimes when he's flipping out
⚡️ He's an Overlord, which means he can and likely has drawn up contracts of ownership for lesser Sinners' souls, though no specific deals have been brought up yet in canon (I'd bet on his assistant with his little VoxTek-brand-colours outfit tbh)

I'M REDOING THIS NOW THAT SEASON 2 IS OUT!!!! The following is all personal headcanon because I crave digging in and can't wait a (rightful) million years for more animation to be made:
⚡️ Vox died in the mid-1950s in an electrocution-related incident directly after being fired from his job at the CBC lmao an early TV station and nearly beating his boss to death
⚡️ His left eye is weird because it was injured while he was doing the deed, and those red drip-like bars appear at the corner of his mouth when he's upset because he bit the fuck out of his tongue when he died :)

I'm also open to others if there's chemistry!
